Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2135 -- Student Participation in Interscholastic Activities

Sponsor:  Webb

This bill prohibits any middle, junior high, or high school
student enrolled in a public school who has received a failing
grade in any course from participating in an interscholastic
activity for the report card grading period following the failing
grade.  Participation in activities may be resumed if the student
receives passing grades in all courses in the report card grading
period that immediately follows.  The bill supersedes any law,
school or school district policy, or any eligibility standards
issued by the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
