Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2282 -- Voter Registrations

This bill requires anyone requesting 50 or more voter
registration applications to be 18 years of age or older and
provide to the Office of the Secretary of State his or her name;
address; phone number; an indication whether the request is on
the individual's behalf or on behalf of another individual,
organization, or group; the name of the organization, individual,
or group if applicable; an oath that the information is correct;
and the individual's signature.  Upon conviction, any person who
knowingly swears or affirms falsely to any required information
will be subject to a fine of up to $10,000, imprisonment for up
to one year, or both.

Any person who knowingly signs another person's name on a voter
registration application; provides false information to an
election official in order to cast a ballot as specified in
Section 115.427, RSMo; or falsifies a certificate, affidavit,
statement, or ballot of another individual as specified in
Section 115.283 or 115.284 will be guilty of a class B felony.
