HB 2332 -- School Residency Requirements

This bill allows certain active-duty, military parents who are
designated as key and essential military personnel, as specified
in the bill, to elect once per school year to send their children
to a public school within a 30-mile radius of the parent's
military installation.  If there is no existing bus route to
provide transportation in the receiving district, the parents
will be responsible for transporting the child to the school of
choice.  Anyone who knowingly provides false information to
satisfy the bill's requirements will be guilty of a class A
misdemeanor and subject to a civil action by the receiving school
district to recover school attendance costs of the child.
