HB 2430 -- School Food Services

Beginning with school year 2012-2013, this bill requires food
service directors and menu planners, whether they are employees
of the school or contracted vendors, hired on or after August 28,
2012, to obtain school food service and nutrition specialist
credentials or level 1 Missouri school nutrition association
certification within two years of their appointment.  Current
personnel have until the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year
to obtain their credentials.  The bill applies to public and
private schools that receive funding through the federal school
lunch program.
