HB 1340 -- SALES TAX FOR DOUGLAS COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICTS

Currently, the governing body of any fire protection district in
Douglas County is authorized to impose, upon voter approval, a
sales tax of up to 1% for operational costs if the district
reduces its property tax levy annually by 50% of the previous
year's sales tax revenue.  This bill repeals this authorization.
