SB896I-ACCOUNTANTS
Summary of the Introduced Bill

SB 896 -- Accountants

Sponsor: Yeckel

This bill allows temporary practice in Missouri by accountants
from an outside state whose work in Missouri is incidental to
their regular representation of a client.

The higher competency requirements for supervising attest
services are separated from the requirements for supervising
review and compilation services by the bill. The requirement of
a peer review of an accountant's license is also limited by the
bill to accounting firms, as well as the issuance of review and
compilation services.

The bill allows the State Board of Accountancy to act by rule to
permit licensed accountants to perform certain services on a
contingency fee basis.
