AN ACT

To amend chapter 135, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to enterprise zone designation.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 135, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 135.211, to read as follows:

            135.211. In addition to any other enterprise zones authorized in this chapter, the department of economic development shall designate one enterprise zone in any home rule city with more than eighty-four thousand five hundred but less than eighty-four thousand six hundred inhabitants located in any county of the first classification with more than one hundred thirty-five thousand four hundred but less than one hundred thirty-five thousand five hundred inhabitants. Such enterprise zone designation shall only be made if the area which is to be included in the enterprise zone meets all the requirements of section 135.205.
