Summary of the Perfected Version of the Bill

HB 233 -- PRACTICE OF CHIROPRACTIC (Tilley)

COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN:  Special Committee on Professional
Registration and Licensing

This bill changes the definition of "practice of chiropractic" to
the examination, diagnosis, and treatment by methods commonly
taught in any chiropractic college or chiropractic program in a
university which has been accredited by the Council on
Chiropractic Education, its successor entity, or a program
approved by the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Currently, the "practice of chiropractic" is defined as those
methods commonly taught in any chiropractic college recognized
and approved by the state board.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.
