HB 758 -- Child Nutrition and Wellness Act of 2009 Sponsor: Grill This bill establishes the Child Nutrition and Wellness Act of 2009 to promote better child nutrition and wellness. Subject to appropriations, the Director of the Department of Health and Senior Services will appoint members to the newly established Advisory Council on Child Nutrition and Wellness to advise the director and the newly established Office of Child Nutrition and Wellness. The council will be responsible for advocacy, recommendations, data collecting, and development of a comprehensive long-term strategy regarding child nutrition and wellness. The office will provide administrative support and managing activities for the director and the council.
