Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 2436 -- Noise Levels at the Lake of the Ozarks

Sponsor:  Schad

This bill prohibits a person from making, continuing, or allowing
to be made or continued any noise that can be heard on the Lake
of the Ozarks which, when measured from a distance of 50 feet or
more, exceeds 80 decibels during the hours of 7:01 a.m. to 10:00
p.m. or exceeds 70 decibels during the hours of 10:01 p.m. to
7:00 a.m.  Anyone violating this provision will be subject to
imprisonment for up to 90 days, a fine of up to $500, or both.
