Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 1501 -- Missouri Commission on Workforce Preparedness

This bill establishes the Missouri Commission on Workforce
Preparedness within the Department of Economic Development to
study how higher education is meeting the needs of Missouri
employers.  The commission will include two members appointed by
the Speaker of the House of Representatives, two by the President
Pro Tem of the Senate, and nine by the Governor.  The commission
must have its first meeting by October 1, 2012, and submit an
annual report to the Governor and the General Assembly with the
first report due by August 28, 2013.
