HB 1559 -- Adoption Sponsor: Hughes This bill increases the length of time, from no later than 15 days to no later than 60 days, after the birth of a child in which the father has to file an action to establish paternity prior to an adoption in a court of competent jurisdiction or to file a notice of intent to claim paternity with the Putative Father Registry.
