HB 2060 -- Disclosure of Private Information to Employers

This bill prohibits an employer from requesting or requiring an
employee or applicant to disclose any user name, password, or
other means for accessing a personal account or service through
an electronic communications device. An employer cannot
discharge, discipline, or penalize or threaten to discharge,
discipline, or penalize an employee for his or her refusal to
disclose the information or fail or refuse to hire an applicant
for the refusal. An employer may require an employee to disclose
a user name, password, or other means for accessing nonpersonal
accounts or services that provide access to the employer's
internal computer or information systems.
