HB 654 -- Sex Offenders Registration
Sponsor: Gaw
The bill requires any person convicted of or pled guilty to
committing or attempting to commit a felony sexual offense or
incest to register with the chief law enforcement official of
the county in which the person resides. Current law requires
felonious sexual offenders to register if the victim was 13
years of age or younger. Presently, incest offenders are not
required to register.
In addition, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is clearly
empowered to develop the sexual offender registration form.
