This bill authorizes the commanding officer of a military
facility to search all individuals and property within the
facility during an emergency situation.  Any individual entering
the facility will also be subject to search.

on  Federal/State Relations and Veterans Affairs by a vote of 8
to 0.

This bill authorizes the commanding officer of a military
facility to search all individuals and property within the
facility, during an emergency situation.  Any individual
entering the facility will also be subject to search.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill would give the
Missouri National Guard the power to shut down and search a
military facility if sensitive materials were found missing from
the facility.  This is already done on United States military
bases.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Gunn; and the
Missouri National Guard.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
