Current Bill Summary

HS/HCS/SCS/SBs 604, 666 & 816 - The act requires that all psychologist employees hired by governmental agencies after August 28, 1996, be licensed psychologists or in the process of meeting the required hours of supervised professional experience necessary for licensure. This act further requires any psychologist, when renewing his or her license, to submit proof showing completion of 40 hours of continuing education for the two-year period preceding the renewal date as provided in section 337.050, RSMo.

In addition, the Division of Professional Registration shall issue a provisional license to those counselors who meet all the requirements for licensure, except the requirement of one or two years of supervised counseling experience.
