Current Bill Summary
SB 766 - This act allows the Animal Health Laboratory Fund
to maintain a balance after a biennium instead of the current
requirement that the balance be transferred to the State General
Revenue Fund.
The Director of the Department of Agriculture currently has
the authority to set laboratory fees by rule. This act would
require the Director to adjust fees if the balance at the end of
any biennium exceeds $200,000. If the fund at the end of any
fiscal year exceeds $225,000, the amount over $225,000 will be
transferred to the State General Revenue Fund.
