HB 744 -- Sexual Abuse of Minors

Sponsor:  Patek

The bill allows civil actions for recovery of damages suffered
as a result of childhood sexual abuse to commence within 10
years from the time the victim reaches 18 years of age or within
3 years from the time the victim reasonably discovers he or she
was injured by child sexual abuse.  Under current law, the civil
action must commence within 5 years of the date the victim
reaches 18 years of age.
