Rep. Robert Clayton's Bio

REP. ROBERT M. CLAYTON III


Rep. Robert Clayton, a Democrat, represents Marion County and part of Shelby County (District 10) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Clayton is an attorney.

Rep. Clayton has received the President's Award of the Young Lawyers' Section of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. He is a member of the following organizations: Trinity Episcopal Church; Hannibal Jaycees; Hannibal Chamber of Commerce; Delta Theta Phi law fraternity; Bethel Historic German Colony; and the Missouri and Marion Democratic Clubs.

A 1987 graduate of Hannibal Senior High, Rep. Clayton received a bachelor of arts degree in history from Southern Methodist University in 1991 and received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994.

Born August 20, 1969, in Hannibal, Rep. Clayton is the grandson of former Senator George D. Clayton, Jr.
