Biography
State Representative Jim Murphy, a Republican, represents parts of St. Louis County (District 94) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.
In addition to his legislative duties, Murphy is the owner and operator of Shoppers Rule, Inc. Before starting his own company, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tacony Corporation in Fenton.
Murphy graduated from Newport News High School before attending North Carolina State University.
Born in New York, Murphy now resides in St. Louis with his wife, Maryellen. They have three children and 12 grandchildren. Murphy and his wife attend Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque Church.
