Summary of the House Committee Version of the Bill

HCS SB 695 -- CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND BOARD

SPONSOR:  Dougherty (Barry)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Children, Families and Health by a vote of 16 to 0.

This substitute increases the number of members who serve on the
Children's Trust Fund Board from 17 to 21.  The substitute allows
four additional board members to be chosen and appointed by the
Governor.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the additional appointments will
increase the effectiveness of Children's Trust Fund activities in
Missouri.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Dougherty.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
