HB 1152 -- Tobacco Settlement Sponsor: Hoppe This bill limits to $25 million the bond that must be posted by any signatory of the tobacco settlement filing an appeal to settlement agreement. The bill also requires the court to enter any order necessary to prevent the diversion of assets by the appellant so as to avoid payment of the settlement.
