INTRODUCED

HB 352 -- Disciplinary Proceedings for Licensed Professionals

Sponsor:  Shields

This bill establishes a statute of limitations regarding
disciplinary proceedings for licensed professionals.  No
disciplinary proceeding can be commenced unless formal charges
have been filed within 5 years after the alleged commission of
the violation.

The bill contains provisions regarding when proceedings may
commence, the running time of the period of limitation, the
statute of limitations for alleged criminal action, the
expiration of the limitation period during any malpractice
action, and charges of unethical activity and the extent such
activities must be pursued.
