SB 215 -- SERVICES TO VICTIMS FUND

The bill repeals the requirement of matching funds for services to assist crime victims. Under current law, the Department of Public Safety may contract for services to be provided to assist crime victims; however, the contracting entity must provide a cash match for any state money received, depending on whether the program is in existence (20% match) or new (35% match). These matching restrictions are repealed.
