SB 342 -- GROUNDWATER PROTECTION FUND

SPONSORS: Goode (McBride)

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Environment and Energy by a vote of 18 to 0.

This bill changes the name of the Water Well Drillers' Fund to the Groundwater Protection Fund.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill simply changes the name of the fund to more accurately reflect its purpose.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Goode; and Representative Marble.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
