HB 1062 -- Funeral Processions

Sponsor: Gratz

This bill requires pedestrians and operators of all vehicles to
yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which is part of an
organized funeral procession. Operators of vehicles in a
funeral procession must yield the right-of-way to an approaching
emergency vehicle or when directed to do so by a law enforcement
officer, follow as closely as is practical and safe, and operate
with lights on. Toll-free passage will be granted on all toll
bridges, tunnels, and highways. No person can drive between
vehicles in a properly marked funeral procession, join a
procession to secure right-of-way, or pass vehicles in a
procession except where a passing lane is provided. Motorcycles
may escort a procession.
