HB 675 -- Peace Officer Training

Sponsor: Alter

This bill changes the definition of a "reserve officer" for
purposes of the selection and training of peace officers.

Under current law, a non-certified reserve officer must be under
the direct and immediate accompaniment of a certified peace
officer of the same agency at all times while on duty. This
bill allows a non-certified reserve officer to be under the
direct and immediate accompaniment of a certified reserve
officer while on duty.
