In addition, he and his wife, Pat, shared a passion for nature and conservation, and a love for the farmlands of Missouri. Where others saw an abandoned railroad right-of-way, Ted envisioned a state park. Thanks to his generosity and determination, generations of Missouri residents and visitors can enjoy the Katy Trail.
