HB 1184 -- Use of Mobile Telephone When Operating a Motor Vehicle

This bill prohibits the use of cellular or digital mobile
telephones when operating a motor vehicle.  Using such a phone
when contacting emergency personnel and use by emergency
personnel in the performance of their duties are excepted.  Any
person who violates this provision is guilty of a class B
misdemeanor, or a class A misdemeanor if an accident occurs.
