HB 1250 -- Seat Belts Sponsor: Kissell This bill allows law enforcement officers to stop any vehicle to enforce safety belt regulations if a violation is clearly visible to such officer prior to stopping the vehicle. Currently no person can be stopped, inspected, or detained solely to determine safety belt compliance.
