HB 1270 -- Financially Stressed School Districts Sponsor: Chrismer This bill permits financially stressed school districts to request a time extension for any debt owed to the state, in conjunction with the budget and education plan such districts must file with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The State Board of Education can accept, modify, or deny such a request.
