HB 1300 -- Tort Victims' Compensation Sponsor: Hanaway This bill eliminates the Attorney General's responsibility to collect 50% of punitive damages awards for deposit into the Tort Victims' Compensation Fund. The bill requires courts to enter in the final judgment 50% of punitive damages awards, after the deduction of attorneys' fees, in favor of the state of Missouri.
