HB 1382 -- Pawnbrokers' Duties

Sponsor: Pouche

This bill requires that pawnbrokers furnish to local law
enforcement authorities copies of certain information relating
to pawn transactions, upon request. Previously, this duty was
only imposed by local ordinance.

The bill also releases from liability pawnbrokers who take into
possession leased or rented property if it has been returned to
the owner, the lessor, or renter.
