HB 1423 -- Property Tax:  Lead Abatement Projects

This bill allows a city or county, by ordinance, to abate
property from property taxation if the property contains a
child-occupied facility and is involved in a lead abatement
project.  The abatement will only be allowed against the levy
authorized by the city or county and not against the levy for
the blind pension fund or for school districts.

The bill also provides for a certification of qualification for
abatement projects by the Department of Health.
