HB 1531 -- Admittance of Suspended and Expelled Students

Co-Sponsors: Patek, Tudor, Gross

This bill clarifies that, when registering a student for public
school, the person responsible for registering the student must
state whether the student has been expelled from any public or
private school. Current law does not specify that expulsions
from private schools must be noted. The bill adds expulsions
from private schools to the section that requires a conference
before readmitting or enrolling certain suspended or expelled
students.
