HB 1537 -- Forfeiture Proceeds for School Safety

Co-Sponsors:  Patek, Naeger, Summers

This bill redirects the clear proceeds on forfeitures for breach
of penal laws from the School Building Revolving Fund to the
Department of Public Safety for use in school safety and crime
prevention programs.  The department will work with school
districts in the creation of such programs and will distribute
funds based on effectiveness of the program and district needs.
