HB 1549 -- Timely Enrollment of Children Beginning School Sponsor: Green This bill clarifies that parents or guardians of children who are ages 5 through 7 must enroll their children before or within the first 5 days of school. Failure to enroll on time is a violation of the compulsory school law, a class C misdemeanor.
