HB 1889 -- Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer Co-Sponsors: Rizzo, Skaggs, Riley, Hoppe, Curls, Ross This bill requires persons convicted of assault of a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon in the first and second degree to be sentenced to at least 7 years incarceration, without possibility of parole.
