HB 1952 -- Powers of the State Auditor
Co-Sponsors: Foster, Pouche, Schwab
This bill allows the State Auditor to make a formal complaint to
the prosecuting attorney of a county if the Auditor has reason
to believe that a county, municipality, or political subdivision
has not complied with the audit findings regarding possible
criminal activity. If the prosecuting attorney fails to act
upon the complaint within 30 days, the Auditor may bring civil
action against the county, municipality, or political
