HB 2000 -- Child Abuse Reports

This bill adds to the list of persons who must be given access
to central registry child abuse investigation records, members
of the press who can produce the name of a specific child and
any person exercising temporary supervision over a specific
child who can produce the name of the specific child.  The bill
also expressly waives sovereign immunity of the Division of
Family Services for negligent acts or omissions in cases
involving death or serious injury arising out of the negligent
supervision or control of employees handling individual child
abuse cases which have been reported on at least 2 separate
occasions.

The bill has penalty provisions.
