HB 2028 -- Family Courts

Co-Sponsors: Reinhart, Ridgeway, Pouche

This bill requires family court judges and commissioners to be
placed on the ballot for a retention vote at every presidential
election. If a majority of voters elect not to retain the judge
or commissioner, he or she must be removed from the family court
on December 31st following the election. If a judge is not
retained, he or she may continue to serve as a judge but may not
be assigned to the family court.
