BILL SUMMARIES

INTRODUCED

HB 2122 -- Aggressive Driving

Sponsor:  Green

This bill prohibits motor vehicle operators from knowingly
harassing or alarming another person inside a motor vehicle.
Any person violating this provision will be guilty of a class A
misdemeanor.  If a person violates this provision and thereby
causes an accident which results in serious physical injury or
death, the person will be subject to a class D felony and his or
her driving privileges will be revoked for one year.  Driving
privileges will not be reinstated until a person has attended a
driving school approved by the Department of Revenue.

The bill specifies what constitutes harassing or alarming a
person in a motor vehicle.
