INTRODUCED
HB 2152 -- Value of Stolen Property
Sponsor: Ridgeway
This bill defines "value" for the purpose of ascertaining the
value of a merchant's stolen property. If the victim is a
merchant and the property is of a type normally sold in the
ordinary course of business, the property is valued at the price
the merchant would normally sell it. Currently, the value of
property is defined generally as the market value of the
property at the time and place of the crime.
