AN ACT

Relating to public improvement assessments on agricultural and horticultural property.



Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section 1. 1. No assessment for public improvement entered as a lien on any property assessed as agricultural and horticultural property pursuant to section 137.017, RSMo, shall be required to be paid or be foreclosed on until such property is:

(1) No longer assessed as agricultural and horticultural property; or

(2) Not in agricultural and horticultural production for three out of five consecutive years.

2. The provisions of this section shall not affect assessments in existence on the effective date of this section.
