AN ACT

To amend chapter 270, RSMo, relating to animals restrained from running at large, by adding thereto one new section relating to the restraint of dogs in certain counties, with a penalty provision.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 270, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 270.260, to read as follows:

270.260. Any county of the first classification without a charter form of government with a population of more than two hundred thousand inhabitants may enact an ordinance for any unincorporated area of such county which is zoned residential (R-1) requiring any person owning or responsible for the control of a dog to restrain such dog from running at large.
