AN ACT

To amend chapter 9, RSMo, relating to public holidays by adding thereto one new section relating to Missouri lifelong learning month.



Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.130, to read as follows:

9.130. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of February as "Missouri Lifelong Learning Month", and recommending that it be observed by the people with appropriate activities in the public schools and otherwise to promote public awareness of the importance of ongoing education throughout each person's lifetime.
