AN ACT
To amend chapter 208, RSMo, relating to public assistance by adding thereto one new section relating to the same subject.
Section A. Chapter 208, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 208.670, to read as follows:
208.670. 1. For persons with household incomes of up to two hundred percent of the federal poverty level who are otherwise eligible for Medicaid and children who qualify for the MC+ program established in sections 208.631 to 208.660, the department of social services shall issue vouchers to such persons to obtain private health insurance coverage if such coverage is more cost effective than the health benefits provided by the state.
2. The department may promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section. No rule or portion of a rule
promulgated under the authority of this section shall become effective unless it has been promulgated pursuant to
chapter 536, RSMo.
