SB 610 -- Motorcycle Helmet

This bill requires that motorcyclists under 21 years old wear helmets. Currently, all motorcyclists are required to wear helmets.
Every person who desires to ride upon a motorcycle without a helmet must file with the Director of Revenue a security bond or medical insurance policy in the amount of $100,000 to cover the person's medical expenses.
Every person must furnish proof of financial responsibility by demonstrating that he or she has a motor vehicle liability policy subject to the minimum limits required by law.
Every person who rides a motorcycle is required to submit to a breathalyzer test before operating the motorcycle.
All operators of motorcycles and motortricycles must wear a seat belt.
