HB 126 -- USE OF HEADLAMPS

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 9 to 0.
This bill requires that motor vehicle headlamps be in use at any
time when rain, snow, or other atmospheric conditions require
the use of windshield wipers.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this legislation is a safety
measure that is just good common sense.
Testifying for the bill was Representative Long.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
