HB 453 -- EMERGENCY RESPONSE FEES CO-SPONSORS: Ransdall, Berkowitz, Wiggins COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Environment and Energy by a vote of 15 to 0. Fees for the Missouri Emergency Response Commission expire on August 28, 2002. This bill extends the fees to August 28, 2012. FISCAL NOTE: Estimated Net Income to Chemical Emergency Preparedness Fund of $0 in FY 2002, $211,060 in FY 2003, and $266,604 in FY 2004. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the fees provide funding for training of local emergency response personnel in every county. The training is essential and would not be otherwise available.
